Bhubaneswar: As many as 10 women candidates from Biju Janata Dal (BJD) figured in the list of 54 Assembly seats and three women for nine Parliamentary constituencies announced by party supremo Naveen Patnaik here Monday.
The list included six new faces, two ministers and two sitting MLAs.
While Handlooms, Textiles and Handicarafts Minister Snehangini Chhuria will contest from Attabira, Science and Technology and Skill Development Minister Usha Devi will fight the election from Chikiti Assembly constituency.
Tukuni Sahu has been fielded to fight the election from Titilagarha and Nandini Devi will contest the election from Sanakhemundi.
All the four candidates will seek re-election form their respective assembly constituency.
Manjulata Swain, Kalyani Gajapati, Padmini Dian, K K Suryamani Baidya, Purnabasi Nayak and chairperson of Social Welfare Board Latika Pradhan, are the new faces put up by BJD to contest the Assembly seat.
- Pramila Bisoi, Kaushalaya Hikaka and Sunita Biswal to contest the Aska, Koraput and Sundargarh Parliamentary constituencies respectively
- While Handlooms, Textiles and Handicarafts Minister Snehangini Chhuria will contest from Attabira, Science and Technology and Skill Development Minister Usha Devi will fight the election from Chikiti Assembly constituency

Manjulata Swain will fight the election from Aska, Kalyani Gajapati from Parlakhemundi, Latika Pradhan from Kabisuryanagar, Padmini Dian from Kotpad, K K Suryamani Baidya from Khalikote and Ms Purnabasi Nayak from Mohana Assembly constituency.
Patnaik announced the names of Pramila Bisoi, Kaushalaya Hikaka and Sunita Biswal to contest the Aska, Koraput and Sundargarh Parliamentary constituencies respectively.
Earlier, Patnaik had announced to reserve 33 per cent of tickets of his party for women in Lok Sabha elections in the state.
