Nabarangpur: Police Tuesday arrested six members of a robber gang for their involvement in at least 10 robbery cases under various police limits of undivided Koraput district.
While four of the accused were directly involved in the crime, two others were their close aides, SP Vivekananda Sharma told media here at the police station.
The accused were identified as Debendra Majhi, Ghanashyam Muduli and Ramesh Muduli of Badiguda village under Tentulikhunti police limits and Hari Harijan of Koiguda village under Nabarangpur police limits. The names and addresses of two others are yet to be known. All were produced in court the same day.
Police also seized three swords, an ATM card, about 100 gm of gold and Rs 10,000 from them.
The accused used to target finance company agents, traders and other commuters at secluded locations of undivided Koraput district, police said.
