Puri, July 8: The idols Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhdra were taken on a pahandi procession from the chariots and placed on Adapa Mandap of Srigundicha temple here Friday.
The Trinity had been offered puja on their respective chariots that were wheeled to Sharadhabali near the Srigundicha temple Thursday.
Servitors installed The Trinity, Lord Ramkrushna, Lord Madanmohan and Lord Sudarshan on the Adapa Mandap in the evening. All the deities were carried to the Srigundicha temple from their chariots through the customary pahandi procession.
“The pahandi procession of the deities began at 7pm. The Adapa Mandap bije was accomplished by 9.30 pm,” said an official of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration.
SJTA sources said devotees will be allowed to witness the deities on Adapa Mandap Saturday. “Deities will be offered Mahaprasad Saturday and devotees will be allowed to have darshan from 6.30am onwards,” SJTA public relations officer Laxmidhar Pujapanda said.
