Keonjhar: Two persons were injured when a bomb exploded at Banida under Ghatagaon block in Keonjhar. It was said that the mishap took place when they were driving elephants in the forest.
The bomb was planted somewhere to target either boars or elephants. But the DFO has denied that the bomb was in the forest.
The injured bothers – Kedar junaga (35) and Mukunda Juanga(40) were admitted to the district headquarters hospital.
As condition of Kedar deteriorated, he was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital. One of his legs was critically wounded and later amputated, it was learnt. Mukunda sustained injuries on his head and legs.
However, DFO Santosh Joshi said the bomb exploded in their house. The allegation that the bomb was kept for killing wild animals is being investigated, he added.
