Bhubaneswar, Oct 9: Come October 10 and six men from the state — senior bureaucrats and businessman among them — will pedal off on a course to Bhutan.
Bhubaneswar cycling and adventure club is organizing the trip which will course through parts of Orissa and West Bengal before crossing into the neighbouring nation.
According to the organisers, the team is to set off from Bhubaneswar and pass through Baleshwar, Burdhwan, Malda, Pheuntsholing and Gedu on their way to Bhutan.
Ajay Nanda, one of the businessmen in the team, said: “This trip is part of an annual long trip besides other small trips for cycling lovers. Last year we travelled to Manali and Ladakh. This time the club decided to organise a trip to Bhutan.”
The team will carry minimum survival support, including first aid kits and generic medicines, on the trip.
The cyclists are to get back to Bhubaneswar on October 25. Till Cuttack, the team will be accompanied by a group of cyclists as a see-off gesture.
