Cuttack: Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Sambalpur and Angul registered victories over their respective opponents in their matches of the 58th Senior Men’s Inter-District Football Championships for Sahani Cup in four different venues of Bolangir, Tuesday.
Bhubaneswar defeated RPS Rourkela 3-1 while Cuttack thrashed Nayagarh 4-0. Sambalpur defeated Nabarangpur 2-0 and Angul scraped past Ganjam 5-3 via penalty shoot-out after the match ended goalless in regulation time.
Bidanasi Club were held to a 1-1 draw by Tulasipur FC in a match of Kailash Chandra Das Memorial U-17 boy’s football tournament at the Reserve Police ground here, Tuesday. In the second match of the day, Jay Durga Club drew 1-1 with Independent Club.
