Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved a proposal to fill up 341 sepoy and constable posts lying vacant in police Thursday.
With the move for fresh recruitment, total 2021 sepoy and constable posts will be filled in Odisha police.
Earlier, the processing was underway for appointment of 1680 sepoys and constables.
Similarly, the government also decided to fill up 46 new Assistant Public Prosecutor (APP) posts.
Notably, there are 209 posts in APP cadre, out of which the recruitment has been held for 148 posts recently. Total 163 officials are currently working in the post. The remaining vacant posts will be filled through OPSC.
