Bhubaneswar: The state government is yet to receive the investigation report from the vigilance on the multi-crore dal scam that took place in 2011 when Pramilla Mallick was the minister for the women and child development (W&CD) department. This was informed by present W&CD minister Prafulla Samal in a written reply to MLA Damodar Rout.
In 2011, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had assured the house that he would present the vigilance inquiry report on the floor of house. However, although seven years have passed, the vigilance is yet to submit the report.
Following the expose of the over Rs 700 crore dal scam, Mallick had resigned from the council of ministers while action was taken against three IAS officers over purchase of dal for the mid-day meal scheme and supplementary nutrition programme (SNP).
The than Chief Secretary BK Patnaik had said a chargesheet would soon be filed against two Collector level officers on the basis of a preliminary report submitted by the vigilance.
