BHUBANESWAR: Gulshan Grover is in the city Friday for the fourth edition of the Srishti Short Film Festival at CV Raman College of Engineering. As many as 80 short films including 15 international movies will be screened at the event. The movies have been drawn from many states, while the southern states and Orissa are in the lead. Select films from Kenya, UK and China will also be screened at the twoday festival. The cash prize offer at the film festival is Rs 1 lakh, that would go to the ‘best short film’ and others .
Gulshan Grover, Indian actor who has appeared in over 400 films, is among the first actors to have made a successful transition from Bollywood to the Hollywood and international cinema. He is nick-named Badman in the film industry. He began his acting career with the Hindi film Hum Paanch in the role of Mahavir. Having established himself as a character actor with roles like Ram Lakhan, Raja Babu, Dilwale, Mohra, Jism, Taarzan: The Wonder Car, Agent Vinod, Bullet Raja, I Am Kalam, Hate Story 4 etc, Gulshan Grover has been honoured with the Stardust award and the Searchlight Best Actor award for his role in ‘I Am Kalam’. “Srishti International Short Film Festival 2018 is privileged to announce his presence at the inauguration ceremony of the film fest,” said Amit Mishra, Organising member of the film festival.
