BHUBANESWAR: Kalyteros 1.0, a talent-search event, was organised by Pravesika Foundation near Cosmopolis in Dumduma here recently.
Around sixty students participated in the event. Kalyetros, as the name suggests aimed to search for “the best”. It was also aimed to inspire and ignite the creativity among the teenagers. The cultural event was sponsored by Kalinga Fresh.
The event witnessed huge enthusiasm among students from across the areas of town like Dumduma, Patrapada, Khandagiri and others. The event is a part of the tutorial for students from Std VI to XII of both ICSE and CBSE streams located in the area.
The event was conducted in two parts; senior group (Std IX to XII) and Junior group (Std VI to VIII). The event had various activates for both the groups namely Quiz, Poster design, Slogan writing, Essay writing, Storytelling, Solo song, Solo Dance, Ad-Mad, Skit Competition and many more.
The whole event was themed on various positive and negative aspects of wastage of water and use of inorganic colours among others. The teen participants showcased their skills with great diligence. Instant competitions like poster making and slogan writing showed the in-depth understanding of students of various global scenarios.
The competition although intended to celebrate unity, ended up creating friendship among students across schools, infusing confidence and feeling of fraternity.
