A photo-essay on the bravehearts of the Himalayas, who are currently living a nightmare by P S Bhavana and Eric Datta
December 2013.
Kathmandu. Bhaktapur. Pokhara. Sarangkot. Nagarkot.
It was a trip that was mapped on ground in less than a week. It became a journey of history and culture discovery. It was a trip that stemmed out of a few sweet nothings. It became a journey that became philosophical everythings—for us as parents and as a couple. It was a trip that had its roots in happiness-comes-out-of-materialism. It became a journey that made us re-think concepts of goodness, sharing, giving, and gratification. It was a trip through the hearts and minds of the people of Nepal. It became a journey that forced us to bring back precious bits of them.
It was a trip. It was a journey.
We really hope the composed and lovely locals in the pictures are safe, and are trying to re-build their cracked lives, somewhere.
