Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) will facilitate stoppage of three more trains at Bhubaneswar New Station beginning December 22, ECoR sources said Thursday.
According to a senior ECoR official, they have been planning to provide stoppage of more trains at Bhubaneswar New Station as per the feasibility of Road Communication and Transport System, which would help people of northern parts of the state capital as well as tourists visiting Nandankanan Zoological Park and Botanical Garden here.
Bhadrak-Bhubaneswar-Bhadrak passenger (58407/58408) from Bhadrak would arrive at Bhubaneswar New Station at 9.26am and would leave at 9.27am towards Bhubaneswar. Likewise, in the return direction, the train from Bhubaneswar would arrive at Bhubaneswar New Station at 6.14pm and would leave at 6.15pm towards Bhadrak after a minute’s halt, sources said.
Similarly, Talcher-Puri-Talcher MEMU (68413/68414) from Talcher has been scheduled to arrive at Bhubaneswar New Station at 9.17am and leave at 9.18am towards Puri. In the return direction, the train from Puri would arrive at Bhubaneswar New Station at 6.53pm and leave at 6.54pm towards Talcher.
Moreover, Angul-Puri- Angul MEMU (68421/68422) from Angul is scheduled to arrive at Bhubaneswar New Station at 8.40am and leave at 8.41am towards Puri. In the return, the train from Puri would arrive at Bhubaneswar New Station at 6.22pm and leave at 6.23pm towards Angul.
Sources said Rourkela-Puri-Rourkela passenger, Howrah-Puri-Santragachhi passenger and Cuttack-Brahmapur-Cuttack MEMU trains have been offering stoppage at Bhubaneswar New Station after commissioning in the first week of August, 2018.
