Bhubaneswar:Orissa-born rapper Samir Rishu Mohanty, popularly known as Big Deal, will release his next music video ‘Bou’ February 9. In this new rap video he pays tribute to all mothers. The song was sung entirely in Oriya and is titled ‘Bou’. Speaking to Orissa POSTSamir said he had released a sneak peek into this project on YouTube recently and like the last single ‘Mu Heli Odia’ this video too got a
tremendous response. “I have been working on ‘Bou’ since four months, and I am confident that the people of Orissa will like it.” Samir will soon visit Bhubaneswar for performing in a hip hop dance competition being held February 18. Samir’s last rap video ‘Mu Heli Odia’, in which he talks about everything quintessentially Oriya (from Lord Jagannath to Madhubabu and from pakhala to rasagolla), got a big response on social media with its catchy hook line. Samir’s work went viral after he rapped two lines in Oriya in his single One Kid With A Dream in January 2017 and caught the attention of Orissa netizens. He has been conducting shows since three years and has an impressive record of performing with renowned rap artist Blaaze (in MTV Sync) and Hard Kaur (for the American cable television network Vh1). He has also worked with Sneha Khanwalker and sang Bach Ke Bakshy in the Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Detective Byomkesh Bakshy.
