Bhubaneswar: Orissa’s ace swimmer Pratyasa Ray grabbed five medals including four gold and a silver medal in the U-15 girls’ categories of the six-day South Asian Aquatic Championships, which concluded at Colombo, Saturday.
Pratyasa bagged gold medal in the U-15 girls’ 100 metres backstroke event by clocking 1:10; 91seconds. She also clinched the yellow metal in the U-15 girls’ 200 metres backstroke event clocking 2:33.29 seconds. She won her third gold in the 4X100 medley with a timing of 4:43.78 seconds.
Pratyasa, Aaliyah Singh, Adhithya Dinesh and Sanjay Calpokam Jayprakashnan grabbed the gold medal in the 100X4 mixed medley after clocking 4:34.40 seconds. She secured the silver medal in the 50 metres U-15 backstroke event with a timing of 32.82 seconds.
