Jharsuguda: Rail traffic was hit in Jharsuguda district Friday night after a goods train rammed into a truck at Rajpur railway crossing.
A wagon of the goods train derailed and overturned following the collision which adversely affected transportation of coal from Basundhara mines of Sundargarh.
However, no injury or casualty was reported in the incident.
According to sources, the incident occurred at around 11 pm when the truck had stopped on the railway track due to some technical glitch. Moments later, the goods train that was passing on the route rammed into the stationery truck.
The truck was completely damaged in the collision.
Locals alleged that the mishap occurred due to the unmanned level crossing and demanded deployment of an official at the spot to prevent such untoward incidents.
