Bhubaneswar: Realme, an emerging smartphone brand in India, Wednesday announced its expansion of the offline sales in Odisha partnering with retailers.
Addressing a event organised to mark the occasion, Realme offline national sales head Dipesh Punamiya said, “There will be 40 top Real Partners (multi brand retail outlets) in the capital citu and overall there will be 180 partners in Odisha. Realme devices will be available at 250 retail outlets, including 55 retail outlets in Bhubaneswar, in the state by end of the year. The brand will cover the entire region by December 2019 end.”
Speaking about the after sale services, Punamiya said that the brand already has six service centres in Odisha, including one in the state capital, and will eventually expand further. The ‘Proud to be Young’ brand will reach 150 cities across the country in the year 2019 in offline segment, he added.
Realme India Chief Executive Officer Madhav Sheth said that the brand initially launched its products in 10 cities in the country in January 2019 and it will eventually add 50 cities every quarter. “With the city expansion, the smartphone brand will establish 20,000 outlets throughout the country. The retail outlets will have all the models of that the smartphone the brand has launched so far,” Sheth said.
“Currently the new brand has presence in more 3000 stores in 35 cities across the country, including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Surat, Ludhiana and Chandigarh to name a few. We are expanding footprints to meet the rapidly growing customer demands,” he claimed.
The brand has been successfully performing well on e-commerce platforms from May 2018. Regional Business Manager (East India) Tarini Das claimed that as per the CMR report, the brand has secured No-1 position as an emerging brand in the country. “According to Counterpoint, Realme is on No 2 in online sales in India. International Data Corporation (IDC) has ranked the brand No 4 in market position in Q4, 2018. CMR Mobile Industry Consumer Insight survey awarded it the No 1 Quality Smartphone Brand,” Das claimed.
