Cuttack: Orissa Police (OP) rode on a brace by Manoj Tudu to ease past East Coast Railway (ECoR) 3-0 while Radha Raman Club (RRC) stunned reigning champions Sunrise Club 2-0 in matches of the FAO Ist division football super league at Barabati Stadium here, Monday.
Prasanta Naik gave Orissa Police the much needed lead in the 11th minute when he chipped in delightfully over an on-rushing ECoR custodian to find the back of the net. They doubled their lead six minutes into the second half with a powerful strike from Manoj, before the forward added another goal to his name in the 59th minute to complete an emphatic margin of victory.
In the other match, two back-to-back goals saw RRC script an easy win over defending champions Sunrise Club. Anand Lakra (19th) opened the scoring before Moses Obasi (22nd) put the issue beyond doubt.
