Colombo: Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) named Tuesday a new five-member selection panel led by former Test seamer Graeme Labrooy. The panel also has two other former Test players in Asanka Gurusinha and Gamini Wickremasinghe. The new committee was formed after former captain Sanath Jayasuriya’s selection team quit following a string of defeats. The remaining two members in the panel are former first class players Jeryl Woutersz and Sajith Fernando. The 53-year-old Labrooy played nine Tests for Sri Lanka, taking 27 wickets at an economy rate of 3.31.
