Bargarh:A middle-aged man died of sunstroke at Sirkida village under Sohela police limits Tuesday night. He was Manohar Nayak. He was out in the Sun during the day in connection with works for an upcoming marriage function in his friend’s family.
The two friends set off to distribute the invitation cards since morning, and returned home late in the afternoon. Soon, he experienced uneasiness caused by exposure to the heat wave. Family members rushed him to the Sohela community health centre (CHC). Later, he was shifted to the Bargarh district hospital. While under treatment, he collapsed. The doctors confirmed that he died due to heatstroke.
Sohela police registered a case of unnatural death and sent the body for post-mortem. Later, it was handed it over to the family for final rites.
