Balasore: A woman, who had delivered a baby through caesarean section in June 2016 at the district headquarters hospital, had been facing a lot of difficulties, as the operation area of the womb has been infected.
As the pus is oozing out from stitches, she was treated at the hospital again.
According to reports, Sasmita Mandal (21), wife of Jayant Mandal of Nimapada, said though she had visited the hospital for over 12 times for treatment of the infection, she is yet to be relieved of the pain. She alleged the hospital authorities had returned her by terming the problem as a minor one.
Later, the woman had an ultrasound of the womb, which detected a thread in the womb. She apprised the chief district medical officer (CDMO) of the matter.
She was again admitted to the DHH January 30. For the last five days, the woman is under treatment at the verandah of the hospital. Sasmita said though she belongs to BPL category and has health card, she had been deprived of proper treatment.
CDMO Dr Bhawani Shankar Pani pleaded ignorance of the matter.
He, however, assured that he will take steps for immediate treatment of Sasmita. PNN
