Rayagada: At least 15 persons sustained injuries after a passenger bus carrying them skidded off a bridge on Dumininali-Jagadalpur road near Sahada village in this district Tuesday morning.
According to reports, the accident happened when the bus, which was on its way from Dumininali to Jagadalpur, fell off the bridge after the driver lost control of the vehicle.
After getting information, the fire brigade personnel and police reached the spot and rescued the injured persons with the help of locals.
The injured have been admitted to Bissamcuttack community health centre. The vehicle has been seized and a probe was launched.
The driver and the helper of the vehicle were also injured in the mishap.
