2nd list out for Plus II

Bhubaneswar, June 23: The second phase cut-off list for admissions to Plus II courses in colleges across Orissa was released, Friday. Ravenshaw Junior College in Cuttack topped the list again in Science stream with 91.33% cut-off, followed by BJB College in Bhubaneswar with 91.20%. Other top colleges with high cut-offs in Science include Fakir Mohan College, Balasore (86.17%), Khallikote College, Ganjam (85.67%), Ramadevi Women’s College, Bhubaneswar (84%), Sailabala Women’s College, Cuttack (83.33%) and SCS Junior College (74%). In Arts stream, BJB College, Bhubaneswar tops the list with 74.67% cut-off followed by Ravenshaw Junior College (73%), Fakir Mohan College (72.50%), Sailabala Women’s College (72.33%), Ramadevi Women’s College (70.67%), SCS Junior College (70%) and Khallikote College (62%). BJB College also topped the list in Commerce stream with 81% cut-off, followed by Ravenshaw Junior College(77.90%), Sailabala Women’s College (74.67%),
Ramadevi Women’s College (66.50%) Khalikote College (64.50%), SCS Junior College (58.83%) and Fakir Mohan College (52.67%) Notably, the first merit list was released, June 12, where as many as 3.22 lakh students were selected
in the first phase—out of these, 2.2 lakhs are in Arts, 85,569 in Science and 21,821 in Commerce
In the first cut-off list, Ravenshaw Junior College in Cuttack emerged as the mostsought after institution for Plus II science courses with 93.17% cutoff marks, while BJB Junior College in Bhubaneswar emerged second best with cut-off of 92.67%. In Commerce and Arts stream, BJB college maintained its dom
inance with cut-offs 83.60% and 75.33% respectively. Ravenshaw stood second with 80.67% cut-off for Commerce and 73.67% for Arts. Last year, in the second phase of cut off marks, Saraswati Vidyamandir, Neelakantha Nagar in Berhampur had emerged as the most-sought after college in Science, with 90.83%, followed by
Ravenshaw junior College (90.5%) and BJB junior College, Bhubaneswar, (89.33%). Other top colleges are Kalinga Vision Plus II Science College, Bhubaneswar (87%), Upendranath College, Soro, (86.83%) and Talanagar College in Balasore district (86.17%). In Arts, Kishore Nagar Junior College, Angul, topped the list with 86%, while Anandmayee Women’s College in Balasore was at second place with 83.5% and Tara Tarini College in Ganjam district third with 83%.
