Jeypore: In a heartbreaking incident, a five-year-old girl died after a portion of the wall of the house she was staying caved in on her at Jamunaguda Irrigation Colony under Jeypore Town police limits in Koraput district, Friday. The deceased has been identified as Sneha Khara, daughter of Ajay Khara.
According to sources, the accident happened when Sneha was leaving for school Friday morning. Suddenly, a portion of the wall collapsed, crushing her. Hearing her agonising cries, family members rushed to her rescue. Though she was rushed to the Koraput District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), doctors declared her ‘brought dead’. A pall of gloom descended in the locality as news of her death spread.
On being informed, Jeypore Town police reached the spot and launched a probe.
