Berhampur, Dec 26: Students of Sardar Rajas Medical College got admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital Saturday after the Supreme Court recently struck down a petition by MKCG students protesting the decision of the government.
A platoon of police force was deployed on the premises of the medical college to avoid any untoward situation.
Out of 55 students of Sardar Rajas Medical College, 53 got admitted to MKCG.
Certificates of students were given to MKCG authorities for verification. However, MKCG students said they will not cooperate with the private college students.
When contacted, Baidyanathpur police station officer-in-charge Ajay Mishra said that the admission was conducted peacefully. The new students did not face any problem, he added.
