Bhadrak: Bagnan Sporting Club (BSC), Bagnan scraped past Kishore Club 6-5 via tie-breaker in a match of the Jagabandhu Memorial Inter-State football tournament here Wednesday.
The match was tied 1-1 in regulation time. In the ensuing penalty shootout Bagnan converted all of their five chances, while Kishore Club could strike only four times.
State Sports Hostel, Cuttack will take on Sangharsh Club, Bhubaneswar Thursday.
Abhana win
Abhana defeated Durgapur by 20 runs in a match of the Freedom Fighter Madhabananda Memorial cricket tournament in Balasore, Wednesday.
Abhana rode on a blistering half century by Girish Chandra Majhi (53, 33b) to score 160 for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs.
Chasing a victory target of 161, Durgapur could only manage 140 in 15 overs. Girish was adjudged man of the match for his match winning knock.
Coaching course
Football Association of Orissa (FAO) will be conducting an AIFF D license coaching course in Cuttack, February 7-11, FAO announced in press release, Wednesday. FAO also informed that to be an AFC license coach it is mandatory to have AIFF D license coaching course.
