Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Sunday said rainfall along with hail storm is likely to occur in several parts of interior and western Orissa till February 14.
The interior and western parts of the State are likely to witness rain and hail storm from tonight under the impact of a trough line and high pressure, said director of Bhubaneswar meteorological Centre Sarat Sahu.
“Rain and hail storm are likely at a few places of Nuapada, Bolangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sonepur, Boudh, Samabalpur, Sundergarh districts from Sunday night,” he said, adding, “Some places in coastal Orissa may also receive rainfall for 10 to 15 minutes in next 48 hours,” he added.
Moderate to dense fog, reducing surface visibility to less than 200metre is also likely to occur over some parts of coastal Orissa, he stated.
However, rain is likely to reduce from February 14 (second half) while there will be rise in temperature from February 15, the director added.
