Phulbani: A minor tribal was gang-raped by four persons in a jungle on the pretext of dropping her home. She was enticed into an auto-rickshaw while she was returning home at night after witnessing a melody programme in Khajuripada area in Kandhamal region.
The Khajuripada police arrested four persons, including a juvenile, in this connection.
The arrested were Srikant Behera (30), Badal Digal (21), Jitu Diggal (18) and a 16-year-old boy. The four came in an auto-rickshaw and offered the girl a lift while she was waiting for bus. The girl boarded the three-wheeler. The youths, instead of taking the girl home, rode her to a forest area and there they took turns to rape her. After this, they fled the area.
Police investigations are on.
