New Delhi: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) legislator Prabhat Ranjan Biswal representing Choudwar-Cuttack constituency was discharged from Indian Spinal Injuries Centre here Sunday.
Prabhat was suffering from back pain, spine and other complications after surgery. He was also suffering from ill health due to mental depression. “I’m discharged after being hospitalised for 23 days. Doctors have prescribed medicines for spinal injuries. I am using medicines for tuberculosis. I had a surgery on my stomach seven months back. It will take some more days for total recovery,” Biswal said, adding he would be back in Odisha after a week.
“I will stay in Delhi for four to five days and have a check-up before I go back to Odisha in a week’s time on the advice of the doctors,” Biswal added. Notably, Biswal was arrested by CBI from his Cuttack residence September 19, 2017 in connection with his alleged involvement in the Seashore Group chit fund scam.
