Angul: Angul police Tuesday collected fine from a cop for not wearing helmet here.
The Angul town police were carrying out a helmet check at traffic square here Tuesday. At that time, a policeman without helmet was seen passing the stretch on his motorcycle.
While the people standing nearby thought the motorist in uniform would be let off, some others waited eagerly to see what action the police would take against the violator in khaki.
Proving them wrong, the police stopped the cop and a fine was collected from him.
Angul police have recently drawn flak from different quarters for their alleged misbehaviour with people including doctors, lawyers and journalists.
