Losingha: A girl allegedly chopped the genitals of her boyfriend during a sexual intercourse after he allegedly refused to marry her, reports said.
The girl has fled the neighbourhood and is absconding since then. The victim has been placed under intense care at Loisingha sub-divisional hospital where his condition remained critical.
The incident took place late Monday night at Kandajuri village under Loisingha police limits in Bolangir district. The victim has been identified as Rashmiranjan Sikka, son of Paikalal Sikka of the same village.
According to sources, Rashmiranjan was in a love relationship with a relative girl of the locality. Family members of the couple were well aware of it. However, Rashmiranjan’s family members opposed the relationship and did not want their son to marry the girl. So, they arranged his marriage elsewhere.
Since then, the couple was in loggerheads as Rashmiranjan wanted to go by the orders of his family members and marry another girl. However, the girl insisted him to marry her. This led to a rift between them.
In an act of revenge, she decided to ‘teach him a lesson’. As per plan, she called him and asked him to come over on the pretext of meeting for the last time.
When Rashmiranjan reached there, the couple again fought on the same subject of marriage. While the girl wanted to marry him, the latter was reluctant, since his family was against their relationship.
Angered, the girl then lured him into having sex. She then took a sharp blade and chopped off his genitals. Bleeding profusely, the youth ran out of the house, yelling for help following which neighbours rescued him and alerted his family members.
Though, the man can undergo a surgery, doctors fear that the reattachment may not be successful. A case has been registered against the girl under section 326 (for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) of Indian Penal Code.
