Mumbai: An unpleasant incident happened on the sets of Indian Idol 11. Famous playback singer Neha Kakkar, who is judging the show two Anu Malik and Vishal Dadlani, had a weird experience after she was kissed by a contestant on the stage.
The official handle of Sony TV had shared the promo video of the last weekend on Instagram, in which a contestant, dressed in Rajasthan attire, is seen saying, “pehchana aapne?” as he walks onto the stage amid Kakkar and the show’s host, Aditya Narayan.
Kakkar recognises him and moves forward to accept his gift and hug him. Just then, the contestant plants a kiss on her cheeks, without her consent, leaving Malik, Dadlani and Narayan shocked.
The now-deleted snippet showed how Neha Kakkar immediately moves back, hiding her face in embarrassment.
Neha Kakkar made her debut as a contestant in Indian Idol Season 2. And now she has graduated to the judges’ panel since the last two seasons – Indian Idol 10 and Indian Idol 11.
Apart from judging reality shows, Neha is a well-known singer and has lent her voice to many chartbusters. In 2019, she sung Chamma Chamma (Fraud Saiyaan), Coca Cola (Luka Chuppi), Hauli Hauli (De De Pyaar De), Hook Up song (Student Of The Year 2), O Saki (Batla House), Odhani (Made In China) and Ek Toh Kam Zindagani (Marjaavaan).
