New Delhi: Eight students from Odisha, belonging to the National Service Scheme (NSS), will take part in the Republic Day parade at Rajpath here January 26, sources said Tuesday.
The students—Deepak Kumar Giri from Mayurbhanj, Dambaru Dhar Garada from Koraput, Alekh Sagariya from Bargarh, Swaraj Mohanty and Neha Pradhan from Berhampur, Himadri Tanaya Harichandan from Khurda, Barsharani Sahoo from Koraput and Rubina Pradhan from Sambalpur— have arrived in Delhi January 1 to take part in the mega event. The students have started rehearsal. They will also perform in cultural programs at Delhi, sources said.
Every year, 200 students, 100 girls and as many boys, belonging different states take part in the Republic Day parade, they added.
