Bhubaneswar, June 2: The registration for admissions to degree colleges in various streams for the academic year 2017-18 will begin June 6.
According to the notification issued by Higher Education department Friday, the registration process for admissions to the degree colleges including self-financing and Sanskrit (Shastri) courses would commence June 6. The students can apply for the courses through both online and offline mode by filling up the Common Application Form (CAF).
Online applications would be available on the department’s website www.dheodisha.gov.in from June 6 (12 am onwards) while the candidates who want to apply offline have to collect CAF available at the nearest Student Academic Management System (SAMS) resource centres on the same day, the notification said.
The last date for online registration and submission of hardcopy of the both online applications are June 20 and 21 respectively.
Similarly, the deadline for submission of offline/manual CAF at any of the 502 SAMS resource centres along with supporting documents and fees is June 21. The government has set June 23 as the deadline for online CAF validation and digitisation of offline application form in e-Space by the SAMS resource centres.
The first round merit list would be announced June 28 while the admissions would begin from June 30 to July 3, it said.
Similarly, the second merit list will be published July 7, for which admission process will be conducted between July 10 and 11. The third merit list will be announced July 16 and admissions for the same will be done July 17 and 18.
This year, the government has decided to start the classes of Plus III first year students from July 19. Last year, the classes had started August 11.
