Kendujhar: A family dispute turned fatal in Bankapatuli village under Ghatagaon police limits in this district, after a woman allegedly beat her husband to death with a wooden plank late Monday night.
The victim was identified as Anand Munda, 26, and his wife Jatri Munda, 25.
Ghatagaon police station IIC Subhranta Kumar Jena said Anand and Jatri had an argument over a trivial issue on the night of August 10.
Later that night, when Anand was asleep, Jatri allegedly attacked him on the head with a wooden plank and also strangled him.
Family members rushed him to Kendujhar District Headquarters Hospital, but doctors pronounced him dead there.
Police reached the village and seized the body and sent it for an autopsy.
