Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Monday fielded Cabinet minister Sashibhusan Behera for Kendrapara Assembly seat. Behera is the sitting MLA from Jaydev Assembly segment in Bhubaneswar Parliamentary constituency. The ruling party has nominated Arabinda Dhali from Jaydev Assembly seat, following which Behera’s supporters protested the move and demanded re-nomination of Behera.
With this announcement, the ruling party’s exercise for candidate selection has been completed.
