Bhubaneswar, Oct 21: Top four seeded players including top seed local lad Chinmay Pradhan and Ansu Kumar Bhuyan entered the semifinals of the AITA-OTA 50K Men’s tennis tournament at the KIIT Court here Wednesday.
Chinamay edged past eighth seed Amarnath Arora of Delhi 6-0. Second seed Ansu beat fifth seed Rohit Rampuria of West Bengal 6-0, 4-6 and 6-4 in a keenly contested quarterfinal match.
Results: Chinmay Pradhan bt Amarnath Arora, Neeraj Choudhary bt Rohin Gajree 7-6(2),6-7(5),6-1, Vaishnav Bendalam bt Rohit Jain 6-0,6-2, Ansu Kumar Bhuyan bt Rohit Rampuria 6-0,4-6,6-4.
Kho Kho tourney
Manipur, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Vidarbha won their respective matches in the boys’ category of the National Junior Kho-Kho Championship, which was inaugurated at the Kalinga Stadium here Wednesday. In the girls’ category, Madhya Pradesh, Tripura, Kerala and Punjab won their respective matches.
