Bhubaneswar, March 26: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Thursday directed officials to expedite the appointment/recruitment/selection process for vacant posts in different departments of the state government.
The state government started the process to fill 40,000 vacant posts in various departments, but the process was still not complete also due to legal hurdles. While reviewing the employment process by the state government, Patnaik directed the Orissa Public Service Commission (OPSC), the Orissa Staff Selection Commission (OSSC), the Orissa Subordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) and the Advocate General to work in a coordinated manner and expedite the process, a release from CMO said.
The CM will review the process every month. Additional chief secretary to CM, Aditya Prasad Padhi, will also review the matter at regular intervals. Another meeting would be held April 27. Among others, health and family welfare minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, law minister Arun Sahoo, chief secretary GC Pati and other senior officials were present.
