Keonjhar/Dhenkikote, March 17: Vigilance sleuths Tuesday conducted raids on the residences, office and shop of a pharmacist named Prataprudra Jena working at the Ghatagan health centre, following
allegation of acquiring assets
disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The Vigilance officials from Balasore and Keonjhar also raided the office of Jena at the hospital, residence at his native place Kanpur and a medicine store at Dhenkikote.
Earlier, a case had been registered against Jena for accumulating disproportionate assets.
Preliminary investigation by the Vigilance department has detected five land plots worth over `3 lakh, a three-storeyed luxury building worth Rs 94.87 lakh, an illegal
building on the government land near Dhenkikote hospital worth `80,000, bank deposits worth over Rs 17 lakh, 97 items of furniture worth over Rs 2.80 lakh, insurance policies of over Rs one lakh, a car worth Rs 4.85 lakh, a Honda Unicorn bike worth Rs 68,000, a Hero-Honda bike worth Rs34,000 and a medicine shop valued at Rs 5 lakh.
