Keonjhar: Patients at the surgery ward had a narrow escape after a fire broke out at the Keonjhar district hospital Thursday morning.
According to reports, a fire erupted at the minor operation theater of the surgery ward. An inverter got damaged in the fire. However, the patients have been shifted to a safer place.
Though the exact reason is not yet known, short circuit is said to be cause of the accident.
Patients, attendants and locals blamed the wiring at the old building for the incident.
When contacted, chief district medial officer Dr Chaudhury Swarup Mishra said that the incident had not caused any damage to life and property.
