Bhubaneswar, Jan 10: Gadadhar Sahoo had a splendid performance as she clinched the title in the physically-disabled categories of the Vth State Bodybuilding Championships here Sunday.
In the junior 55 kg category, Nitesh Kumar Barik emerged champion, while Rajesh Kumar Padhi secured the second position. Nabajyoti Pradhan finished third.
In the masters 40-50 age category, Jitendra Kumar Mohanty emerged champion. Rabi Das finished runners-up. In the 50-60 age category, Manoj Das clinched the title, while Kartikeswar Jena and Narayan Sethy finished second and third respectively.

Athletic meet
Swarupa Madhuri Ratha and Soumya Prakash Sahoo took the top honours in the girls’ and the boys’ categories of the SCB Athletic Meet, which concluded at Cuttack, Sunday.
Swarupa stood first in the 100 metres race and secured the second positions in the 200 and 400 metres race and high jump events. Soumya emerged champion in the 100, 200 metres race and finished runners-up in the long jump and high jump events.
Veterans win
Veterans XI beat OSJA XI by five wickets in a keenly-conested match of the Nanu Bhai Memorial Friendship Cricket Tournament here Sunday.
Opting to bat first, OSJA scored 136 for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. Azij (30) emerged as the highest scorer for the team. In reply, Veterans scrambled home in 19.5 overs.
