Kendrapara: The half-burnt body of a girl was found from an under-construction house at Kankadia village in Kendrapara district Friday.
The deceased identified as Rukmani (19), was pursuing nursing course at a private institute in Bhubaneswar.
According to available information, Rukmani was in a relationship with one Kamal Lochan Dash (22) of Angulei village. However, Kamal was found dead under mysterious circumstances Thursday. After getting information, Rukmani went to her village Thursday evening and went to sleep after taking food. Friday, some locals spotted smoke emanating from the under-construction house and later they found the girl’s half-burnt body inside it.
While some suspect that the girl committed suicide by setting herself on fire, some locals suspect it to be a case of murder.
On being informed, police reached the spot and recovered a kerosene jar found near the body.
