Bhubaneswar: Most parts of the state are likely to witness light to moderate rainfall in the next 24 hours, reported a bulletin of the regional meteorological centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) here, Sunday.
According to MeT sources, a cyclonic circulation formed over the Bay of Bengal is active now and under its influence, a short spell of rainfall may occur at some places.
Meanwhile, six districts of the state experienced less than 2mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours with Malkangiri district recording a highest of 21mm rainfall.
The state is likely to have more rainfall after August 4 and will continue till August 6, the MeT sources said.
