Mumbai: At Tea on Day 1, India are at 111/3 against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The Indian openers added 80 runs for the first wicket before Ajaz Patel took three wickets in consecutive overs to bring New Zealand back in the game.
Virat Kohli (0), Cheteshwar Pujara (0) and Shubman Gill (44) were Ajaz’s three dismissals. Kohli and Pujara failed to impress yet again as they both were dismissed on ducks. Both the star batsmen haven’t registered a century since 2019.
Mayank Agarwal is still batting and he has also completed his half-century and he is going strong with Kanpur Test hero Shreyas Iyer in the middle.
