New Delhi: Diplomat Somnath Ghosh has been appointed India’s next High Commissioner to Malaysia, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in a statement Wednesday.
Ghosh is a 1997-batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer.
“Somnath Ghosh (IFS: 1997), presently Consul General, Consulate General of India, Chicago, has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to Malaysia,” MEA said.
“He is expected to take up the assignment shortly,” it said.
