New Delhi: Taking a jibe at the allegations levelled by National Students Union of India (NSUI) convener Itish Pradhan during a press conference, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Niranjan Patnaik Friday termed the former’s statement as ‘childish’.
Speaking to media persons here, Patnaik said, “Itish is a kid and he must have done this out of frustration as he has lost the elections. I’m not giving importance to the issue.”
Patnaik further said that the party has been going through a rough phase across the country.
“I will meet state Congress in-charge Jitendra Singh and discuss about the revival of party in the state,” he said.
It is to be mentioned here that Pradhan Thursday alleged that Niranjan Patnaik had sold the party to ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and also demanded his resignation as the PCC chief.
