Puri: In a nerve-chilling incident, a man was left battling for life after he was stabbed by his daughter’s lover Saturday night. The youth did so after the girl rejected his offer of love.
The accused, Sanjay Chinara, suspected that the girl’s father was behind her show of disinterest to him. He fled the scene after the attack. The incident took place near Khandiabandha of Devighat under Puri Sadar police station. The victim was rushed to the Puri district hospital (DHH).
The girl’s father was returning home after closing his shop. The girl’s family told the police that Sanjay was having a one-sided love affair with her. Police filed an FIR at the Puri Sadar police station.
