Bhubaneswar, July 5: The state government Wednesday approved development of 10 rural road projects in various parts of the state.
The projects worth `20 crore have been sanctioned under Special Central Assistance (SCA) under KBK, Biju KBK (Kalahandi-Bolangir-Koraput) schemes and state plan for 2017-18 fiscal.
The rural works division of the Rural Development department had provided administrative nod to renovate Kokadmal-Lingarmal road in Kalahandi under SCA KBK Yojana at an estimated cost of `1.31 crore. Improvement of Narla-Bamak road via Khilibeda with an investment of `2.39 crore and improvement of Udesurung Kuhura road to Rengalipada road under SCA KBK Yojana at a cost of `1.71 crore are the two other projects in the district which received the government approval.
Approval was also accorded to the development of PWD road to Bhitartpadamajhi road under Biju KBK Yojana in Rayagada at an estimated cost of `2.35 crore.
Work order has also been issued for development of Jharigam-Kalahandi border road under Biju KBK Yojana in Nabarangpur at an estimated cost of `3.72 crore.
Likewise, `1.25 crore has been sanctioned for Ladangabhata-Sidhemumla road in Bolangir under SCA KBK Yojana.
Improvement of Ghadakhunta to Nandipura road in Nabarangpur district under Biju KBK Yojana with an outlay of `1.96 crore; Charbati-Mardang road via Sabarpali in Deogarh under State Plan at a cost of `4.18 crore; improvement of Dahikhai-Barakoli road in Nayagarh at an estimated cost of `91 lakh are the other projects which received the nod.
