Berhampur: The Government Railway Police (GRP) recovered the body of an elderly man from the railway tracks near Khodasingi area of Berhampur in Ganjam district, Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Bhimsen Muli, 62, a resident of 5th lane at Nigam Nagar in Ankuli.
The family members of the Bhimsen said that he had gone to Ankuli to watch opera, but did not return. It is believed that he could have died after coming under a running train while crossing the tracks.
On being informed about the body of a man lying on the tracks, the police reached the spot and sent it for post-mortem.
A case of unnatural death has been registered in this regard.
