Bolangir: A man filed an FIR against his son at Town Police Station in Bolangir district after getting frustrated over the latter’s repeated violent behaviors, a source said Monday.
The police seized a country-made pistol and dagger from the possession of the accused Nilakantha Patnaik, who is a resident of Rajiv Nagar area in Bolangir district.
According to the source, Nilakantha has been charged with various offences such as attempt to murder, loot and other criminal cases. He was jailed for his alleged involvement in several crimes.
However, after being released from prison on bail, Nilakantha again perpetuated hooliganism in his locality. He allegedly attacked his family members and ravaged furniture at home, the source informed.
Exasperated over Nilakantha’s misdeed, his father Laxmikanta Patnaik lodged an FIR against him at the local police station.
Later, police arrested the accused based on the FIR.
