Even as Ranbir Kapoor stole the show with his stellar performance as Sanjay Dutt, Vicky Kaushal as the best friend, Kamlesh Kanhaiyalal Kapasi aka ‘Kamli’ was equally impressive.

The astonishing factory is Kamli, Sanjay’s best friend portrayed by Vicky Kaushal. His name in real life is Paresh Ghelani. In an interview with a leading daily, Vicky revealed that Kamlesh was “an amalgamation of three or four of Sanjay Dutt’s closest friends in real life.”
Lovingly called “Parya” by Sanjay, Paresh has been the actor’s friend since even before his debut film, Rocky. Currently based in Los Angeles, Paresh has stood by Sanjay like a rock through all his ups and downs.

Paresh, who was one of the people responsible in bringing XPRIZE to India, has built and invested in Moon Express, Viome Inc, DTV Motor Corporation, Ferrate Treatment Technologies, Casepoint, Radimmune Therapeutics.
He founded and built the 2020 Company LLC from nothing to a successful business with over 1000 employees. They provided the US government advanced technology in the education, defense, and healthcare space. Before that, he had built two other companies in the technology field from scratch.
